Once you arrive at Salt River Recreation, you'll purchase tubes for $19.00 each and take their shuttle to the river entry point. When you finish your floating adventure, just give us a call, and we'll return to pick you up! 

Important Salt River Recreation Details 

Hours of Operation: 

• Open daily from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm during the summer season 

Requirements: 

• Valid driver's license needed for tube rental 

• Deposit required (per 5 tubes rented) 

• Children must be at least 8 years old AND 4 feet tall 

• Life vests strongly recommended for children and less confident swimmers 

Rules to Know: 

• Glass containers are prohibited by law and will be confiscated 

• Staff will inspect all coolers and ice chests before boarding shuttles 

Planning Your Perfect River Float 

The Salt River offers different float durations based on your start and end points: 

Float Times: 

• Point 1 to Point 2 (bridge): About 2 hours 

• Point 2 to Point 4: About 3 hours 

• Point 1 to Point 4: About 5 hours 

Choose your route based on how long you want to spend on the water. First-time visitors might prefer the shorter 2-hour option, while experienced tubers often enjoy the full 5-hour journey.
